Electron Microscopy and Histology Core Facility

Overview of Services

 

The EM &H Core Facility provides transmission electron microscopy services to the research faculty and staff at Weill Cornell Medical College, Cornell University and the Hospital for Special Surgery. Additionally, we provide histological sample prep and sectioning for paraffin and cryo processed tissues. Core staff provides assistance in using the instruments, training to enable independent use, and consultation to address individual research needs.

 

 

Facility Acknowledgement

Acknowledgement of the EM&H Core(or individual staff) in publications and presentations helps to demonstrate the usefulness and effectiveness of this  Core and WCMC Cores in general and can help strengthen institutional support of these services. If you feel that you have received good service from the EM&H Core, we would greatly appreciate your including it in the acknowledgement section of your publications. Please inform us of any acknowledgements as well as the publication of any images that were captured using Core instrumentation.

 

Acknowledgements in publications that include data generated in the EM Core should acknowledge the Electron Microscopy & Histology services of the Weill Cornell Medicine  Microscopy & Image Analysis  Core. If you did EM, please also acknowldege that the TEM was purchased with funds from an  NIH Shared Instrumentation Grant (S10RR027699) for Shared Resources.
